Sliced apples, 5 to 6 cups
2 to 3 tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
1/2 to 2/3 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

1 1/2 tbsp. butter

GLAZE:
Mix powdered sugar with small amount of milk to make thin mixture.
2 to 3 tbsp. chopped nuts of choice

DIRECTIONS:

Mix apples and remaining ingredients for pie. Fill bottom crust, top with second crust and bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake until done. 45 minutes to 1 hour. Set on rack. 1 c. powdered sugar
1/3 c. peanut butter
2 c. Cool Whip
1 pie crust (either baked or graham cracker)

Honey Apple Pie

INGREDIENTS:

Pastry for one 9 inch pie shell, bottom only
1/2 c. plus 1 tbsp. sugar
4 tbsp. flour, divided
1/4 c. honey
1/3 c. heavy cream
4 c. apples, cored, peeled, and cut up
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tbsp. butter

DIRECTIONS:

Put pastry shell in pie pan. Sprinkle bottom with 1 tablespoon each of sugar and flour. Combine rest of sugar, rest of flour, honey and heavy cream together. Pour over apples, mix well. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. Dot with butter. Bake in hot oven at 425 degree for 45 minutes.
