Cherry French Pie
INGREDIENTS:
24 sm. saltine crackers, crushed
1 tsp. vinegar
1 c. sugar
1 c. chopped walnuts
3 egg whites
DIRECTIONS:
Mix together crushed crackers, vinegar, sugar and nuts. Beat egg whites in separate bowl until they peak. Fold egg whites into cracker mixture. Flour and grease 9×9 baking pan. Bake for 20 minutes at 350. COOL COMPLETELY!!!!!
FILLING:
INGREDIENTS:
3 or 6 oz. cream cheese
1 c. powdered sugar
1 container Cool Whip
DIRECTIONS:
Mix cream cheese and 1 cup powdered sugar together until smooth (like frosting). Fold in Cool Whip. Pour over cool cracker base. Top with can of cherry pie filling. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
