How to Make a Low Calorie Apple Pie

Ingredients for the low calorie apple pie:

- 4 peeled, cored, and finely sliced (1/4” thick) medium sized apples
- 1 lemon
- Butter spray
- 1 1/8 cup of skim milk
- 4 ounces of low fat cream cheese
- 1 packet of sugar free pudding mix
- Low fat or sugar free caramel
- 1 packet of cinnamon and low sugar apple oatmeal
- 1 cup of Splenda

Recipe for the low calorie apple pie:

Step 1:
For preparing the pie crust, spray it with butter spray and see to it that it is carefully encrusted. Bake it in the oven for 5 minutes at a temperature of 350 degrees. Bring it out and let it cool down.

Step 2:
Put the 6 apples in a large convenient mixing bowl. Add to it a cup of milk and the pudding mixture. You can season it by adding a cup of Splenda. You can also add the apple pie seasoning. Mix it thoroughly and let the mixture settle for some time for good seasoning of apples.

Step 3:
Prepare the cream cheese and the caramel. Slice the cream cheese into small cubes. Allow a mixture of ½ cup of caramel and 1/8 cup of milk to heat in the microwave. Heat on medium power and heat until the mixture becomes very soft. Then, mix it together using a fork.

Step 4:
Have the pie assembled. Add to the pie the apple mixture and cover it with the caramel and cream cheese mix. Cover it completely and evenly with oatmeal from top to bottom to form a top crust of the pie. You can spray the oatmeal’s top with cooing spray flavored with butter or with spray butter for moistening it.

Step 5:
Have the pie baked. You would need to bake the pie at a temperature of 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or till the pudding starts to boil. After the pie is baked and cooled, you can crest it with more caramel if you like.
