Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

INGREDIENTS:

1 1/2 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 c. shortening
3 eggs
2 tsp. hot water
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
4 c. rolled oats
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

Cream together sugar and shortening. Beat in eggs, water and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by teaspoonful on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees until nicely browned.
