INGREDIENTS:
6 c. sliced peaches
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. all purpose flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. butter
DIRECTIONS:
Heat oven to 425 degrees. Combine first 7 ingredients. Mix thoroughly until peaches are coated. Spoon into unbaked pie shells. Dot with butter. Moisten pastry edge with water. Cover with top crust. Flute with finger or fork. Cut slits or designs in top crust. Bake at 425 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
