Aunt Martha’s Peanut Butter Pie

INGREDIENTS:

2 c. confectioners’ sugar
1 1/4 c. smooth peanut butter

DIRECTIONS:

Mix until it is a coarse-like meal. Set aside. Save a little for top of pies.

Mix together: 1/2 c. cornstarch 1 tsp. salt 4 3/4 c. milk 6 egg yolks, beaten

Cook until thick and add 3 tablespoons butter. Cool and add 2 teaspoons vanilla.

Spread peanut butter mixture in bottom of the baked pie shells. Put cooked mixture on top of this. Add meringue and sprinkle with the little bit of reserved peanut butter mixture.
