Apple Crumb Pie

INGREDIENTS:

9-inch unbaked pie shell

FILLING:

3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
6-7 c. sliced and peeled apples
2 tbsp. butter

CRUMB TOPPING:

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. light brown sugar firmly packed
1 c. flour

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Prepare pie shell as directed on package. For filling combine dry ingredients. Add apples and mix thoroughly. Place in pie shell. Dot with butter.

Prepare crumb topping: Mix softened butter with dry ingredients. Sprinkle on top of filling. Bake for 45-55 minutes.
