INGREDIENTS:
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. butter-flavored Crisco
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. water
DIRECTIONS:
Divide flour in half. In large bowl, mix half of the flour and salt with the cup of shortening until it is creamy. Add rest of flour and all of the water at one time, stir until it forms a ball. Divide into 4 equal parts. Roll out on floured pastry sheet or board. Makes 4 pie crusts or 2 double crusts. If using for cream pies, prick with fork in pie pan and bake until lightly browned at 400 degrees. Add filling.
NOTE: This recipe may be adjusted for smaller or larger amounts by using the proportion of 1/3 cup shortening to 1 cup of flour and 2 tablespoons of water per cup of flour.
