INGREDIENTS:
c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
1 qt. berries
2 tbsp. light Karo syrup
3 tbsp. strawberry Jello
Red food color
Pinch of salt
CRUST:
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. powdered sugar
1 c. flour
DIRECTIONS:
Filling: Mix sugar, cornstarch, water, Karo, and salt. While hot, add Jello and color. Cool. Put berries in baked shell. Pour mixture over berries. Top with whipped cream.
Crust: Cream butter and sugar; blend in flour. Pat on bottom and sides of 10 inch pie pan and prick with fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
