Banana Split Pie

INGREDIENTS:

1 (9 inch) baked pie crust
1 pt. vanilla ice cream, softened
1 lg. banana
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling

DIRECTIONS:

Up to 1 week ahead: In crust, evenly spread ice cream. Freeze then freezer-wrap and store in freezer.
About 20 minutes before serving, peel, then cut banana into diagonal slices. Reserve 5 slices for garnish; arrange rest of slices on top of ice cream. Spoon pie filling over banana. Garnish with reserved banana slices. Makes 6 servings.
