Hamburger Rice Pie

INGREDIENTS:

1 to 1 1/2 lbs. hamburger (mix as for hamburger)

FILLING:

1 to 1 1/2 c. minute rice
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1 to 1 1/2 c. tomato sauce
1 c. grated cheese

DIRECTIONS:

Mix hamburger as you would for meatloaf. Line a pie plate with it and flute edges. Combine rice, tomato sauce, salt, water, and 1/4 cup of cheese. Spoon rice mixture into hamburger shell. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle top with remaining cheese. Bake, uncovered, 10 to 15 minutes longer. Makes 5 to 6 servings.
