INGREDIENTS:
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. Karo corn syrup (dark or light)
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2c. pecans
1 unbaked pie shell
CRUST:
1 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening (less 2 tbsp.)
1/8 c. water
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour and salt with fork, cut shortening into flour until uniform. Sprinkle with water and form dough into ball. Knead 10 times on floured surface. Roll out and put in pan.
In large bowl combine first 5 ingredients until blended. Then add pecans and stir. Pour into pie shell. Bake 50 to 55 minutes.
